Safety Tips

1. Always read the instructions and safety warnings on the fireworks before using them.

2. Make sure to light fireworks in an open area away from buildings, trees, and other flammable materials.

3. Never attempt to relight a “dud” firework. Wait 20 minutes and then soak it in a bucket of water.

4. Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby in case of fire or other mishap.

5. Never throw or point fireworks at another person, even in jest.

6. Do not carry fireworks in your pocket or shoot them off in metal or glass containers.

7. Wear protective eyewear when lighting fireworks and keep spectators at least 25 feet away from the launch site.

8. Do not allow young children to handle fireworks without adult supervision at all times.

9. Make sure that all spent fireworks are completely extinguished before leaving the area and dispose of them properly in a metal trash can filled with water
